Acetylcysteine/Vitamin C
General instructions:
This medicine is prescribed for your current illness, so do not use it in similar cases or recommend it to others.
If the symptoms of your disease do not improve during treatment periods after starting to take this medicine, or if they become severe, inform your doctor. In case of any side effect, consult your doctor, whether it is mentioned in this instruction sheet or not.
Indications:
Acetylcysteine is indicated for use as a mucolytic in respiratory disorders such as in bronchitis, emphysema, mucoviscidoses and bronchiectasis.
Ascorbic acid is also used in supporting antioxidant activity and the immune system to work properly to protect the body from disease.
Dosage:
The exact amount of this medicine is determined by the doctor.
Do not take it arbitrarily or change the dose of this medicine and don’t Abrupt discontinuation without consulting your doctor. Acetylcysteine 600 mg is indicated in adults only.
Dissolve one sachet fully in one glass of room temperature water. Then drink all the contents of the glass.
Maximum recommended daily dose 600 mg.
Breast-feeding & Pregnancy:
If you are breastfeeding or pregnant, consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
Drug Interactions:
This drug interacts with a group of drugs, so if you are using any other type of drug or supplement, consult your doctor before taking this drug
Contraindications:
– Hypersensitivity to acetylcysteine or to any of the excipients.
– This Drugs should not be used by children under 10 years of age.
Warnings & Dosing Considerations:
consult your doctor before taking this medicine, If you have Esophageal varices, GI bleeding, peptic ulcer and ant other diseases.
During the use of this drug, do not take antitussive drugs due to stopping the natural reflex of discharge from the mouth.
It is recommended to take this drug and antibiotics with an interval of 2 hours.
Side Effects:
Each drug, in parallel with the desired therapeutic effects, may also cause some unwanted side effects. Although not all of these complications occur, consult your doctor.
The common side effects of this drug include: abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, fever, hypotension, Headache, Tinnitus
In case of other side effects, consult your doctor immediately.
Storage:
Store below 30 °C and protect from light and moisture.
Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Dosage Form:
Each sachet (3g) contain 600 mg Acetylcysteine + 75 mg Vitamin C and 15 mg sodium saccharin(as sweetener)
